Welcome to my
web site.
What a
beautiful world we live in! Photography offers the
opportunity to capture the rays of light, the shades of
color, the feeling and the sense of place. Exploring the
different times of day, and the variety of seasons makes
taking photos an exciting adventure. Photography gives me a
sensitivity to my environment and nature that I never had
before. Over time my eyes have been trained to compose
photos from what I observe everyday. During photography
field trips and tours, I can devote my entire time to what I
love most, photographing what I see.
I love
photography and am pleased to have this opportunity to share
my portfolio with you. There are photographs from my trips
to Italy, Ireland, Colorado, Maine and many other locations.
A few of my Tuscany photographs are hanging in a conference
room at Harvard University. My most recent exhibit has been
at the Middlesex Savings Bank in Natick, MA.
I have studied
Photography by taking workshops and going on photography
tours. Bob Krist, a National Geographic Photographer had a
course called “Sense of Place” at “The Maine
Photographic Workshops” held in Rockport, ME. This course
was the beginning of my travel photography. All my
photographs of Colorado were taken on field trips that were
part of a Digital Photographic Workshop given by Karen
Schulman and her husband Joel Schulman. Karen Schulman owns
and manages “Focus Adventures”, Joel is a photographic
artist. Presently, I am studying with Shiv Verma from
Opalescence Photography.
My newest
challenge is Digital Photography and discovering the
difference between working with slides and digital images.
With digital images, I have the freedom to experiment and
work in Photoshop CS2 (my dark room). Today, all my
photographs are taken with my Canon 20D and printed on my
Epson R2400 printer.
